Well, the spring sports season is underway as the Lackawanna League got started with tennis.
Yes, it has been a long time for these athletes, but they are happy. They are competing. They are grateful for the opportunity after a year of inactivity due to the coronavirus pandemic.
With very little data to go in the preseason because of no season in 2019, ON THE BLOG gave the season a chance to breath a little before making the first post of 2021.
Again, the season is very young, but we will try to keep fans up to date each week.
TOP 5 TEAMS
Abington Heights started the season with a pair of wins and Scranton Prep edged Honesdale, 3-2, in an early matchup. Valley View, under the guidance of the Jedi Master Jerry Pickard, is off to a good start. West Scranton, which went 6-8 in 2019, is ranked this season after a strong start.
