The coronavirus has many of us quarantined and yes, the season on hold.
But where are we as a society without hope?
The 2020 season should start Monday. Well, of course there is also snow in the forecast, but still, according to piaad2.org and the LIAA league play for tennis starts March 23.
These kids have worked extremely hard. And in tennis, more than most other sports in the LIAA, this is the only sport these kids participate in during the school year. So, why shouldn’t we get ready as if the season is going to be played?
Give these athletes not only the recognition they deserve for getting in shape, practicing throughout early March before the shutdown of the state, and continue to give them the one thing that will keep up the fight. … And that is HOPE.
So, let’s take a preseason look at the 2020 Lackawanna League Tennis Season.
