Good Friday to all of our girls volleyball fans.

The season got started last week, and what a way to get going in the Lackawanna League. The most anticipated match of the season took place Saturday morning when Western Wayne visited Dunmore.

Western Wayne received a lot of the preseason attention in The Times-Tribune poll of league coaches. But, Dunmore is still the measure of a champion in the league.

Dunmore had a Lackawanna League record of 191-10 since 2007

So, when the two teams expected to be the top contenders clashed, Western Wayne proved to be dominant.
