The semifinals wrapped up Tuesday night and District 2 crowned its first champion.
Scranton defeated Hazleton Area, 73-68, to advance to Mohegan Sun Arena. There, the Knights will face Williamsport from District 4 in the subregional final at 8 p.m.
As the top-ranked team based on its Power Rating, Scranton is the District 2 Class 6A Champion. It is the first district title for the Knights since 2013.
