Tunkhannock Area High School junior Jack Chilson led the Tigers on Friday night to the school’s amazing fourth quarter comeback win over the Patriots. Chilson threw for 276 yards in the 35-32 win, and ran in two touchdowns. In recognition of his achievement, Chilson has been named the Wyoming County Press Examiner Athlete of the Week.

Superstitions or rituals: I pray before every game, and I have a different signature handshake with Riley Jones. We’ve been doing it since we both started varsity our freshmen year.

Who’s your go to band or artist when you can’t decide on something to listen to? Weezer

When did you start football competitively? I started at six years old, then quit on the very first day. But then I came back in second grade and have played ever since then.

Favorite field to compete on and why? Our home field because I think we have the nicest grass field in our area and the energy the crowd gives us is just electric.

What is your favorite football memory? Can I say Friday night? Definitely last Friday night’s game!

What is your dream job? Governor of Pennsylvania
