Scranton native Joe McCarthy was one of four players reassigned to minor league camp by the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday.

A nonroster invitee to spring training, McCarthy, an outfielder, appeared in 17 games and batted .219 (7 for 32) with two doubles, one home run, six walks, five runs, five RBI and one stolen base. His home run came March 4 off Chicago White Sox pitcher Connor Sadzeck. He had an on-base percentage of .342 and an OPS of .717.

Also reassigned to minor league camp by the Giants were RHPs Silvino Bracho and Rico Garcia and LHP Phil Pfeifer.
