The Scranton-Wilkes Barre RailRiders are offering a new challenge to the baseball faithful of Northeast Pennsylvania.

Kids ages 4-13 can read five books to earn a free ticket to a RailRiders game at PNC Field this season.

Participants must finish the five books and submit proof of completion by June 19, 2020.

Readers should download and print out their own READing RailRoad bookmark to keep and record their progress from the RailRiders team website. Parents/guardians must register their child or children by sending their name, the child’s name, phone number, and mailing address to jmaydole@swbrailriders.com.

As each book is finished, the reading log on the bookmark must be completed and the parent/guardian must initial each numbered box. When all five books are read, parents must send a completed copy or photo of the bookmark to jmaydole@swbrailriders.com.

There is a limit of one field reserved ticket per child, as multiple bookmarks will not be accepted and the ticket is valid only for children only. Parents may purchase additional tickets for family and friends when redeeming ticket vouchers at the box office.

The ticket is valid for any 2020 regular season home RailRiders game with ticket and seating subject to availability.

The ticket voucher will be mailed to households once the child has completed the five books and the parent/guardian sends a photo or copy of the child’s completed bookmark (with parent initials) to jmaydole@swbrailriders.com and as soon as business resumes and the RailRiders staff is back in the office
