The Lake to Lake takes runners on an 8-kilometer jaunt between Lake Lacawac and Lake Wallenpaupack on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Trail walkers with and without their dogs are welcome.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the run and walk start at 9:30 a.m.
Fees are $30 for the run or $20 for a walk, and the proceeds help the Lacawac Sanctuary, which is planning a new education center for researchers and students who have been coming to the study the pristine lake and 400 acres of woodlands for more 50 years.
The race starts from the sanctuary, 94 Sanctuary Road, Lake Ariel.
