Your beauty routine should change with the seasons.

I’m talking about not only swapping dark red lipsticks for soft pink glosses but also mixing up your skin and hair care. Our skin and hair (not to mention our lifestyles) have different needs based on the time of year, the weather around us and any activities we may be doing. As the season starts to wind down, I have a few staples I’ve been loving across skin care, hair care and makeup.

Some are new, and some are old favorites, but these are a few products coming in clutch for my late-summer beauty routine.

Glow Recipe Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm

Double-cleansing, which you should do all year, should especially be a summer staple. This balm is greasy in the best way to help to melt sunscreen, sweat, oil and more off of your skin. Its papaya scent transports you to a tropical paradise. Glowrecipe.com, $32

Glossier Priming Moisturizer Balance

This is the perfect summertime moisturizer because the gel-cream texture is designed to control oil but still hydrate and nourish skin. It absorbs fast and leaves my skin looking and feeling satiny and plump. Glossier.com, $25

Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask

Keep a cica cream in your arsenal to soothe and hydrate skin, especially in the sunnier months. Though it’s called a mask, I use this as a night cream whenever my skin feels sensitive, like if I’ve over-exfoliated or had too much sun. Us.laneige.com, $34

Sunshine Mineral Face & Body Lotion SPF 45

Sunscreens can be irritating, but this is the gentlest SPF I’ve ever used. Mineral screens are naturally thicker and require a little more work to be rubbed in; however, this formula is light and never looks greasy. Cestmoi.com, $16

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream SPF 50+

I try a lot of products, but I always come back to this. It gives nearly full coverage without ever looking cakey or dry, thanks to its added skin care ingredients. Though I still use a separate SPF underneath, I love that it contains a mineral sunscreen in SPF 50. Ulta.com, $39.50

Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Strawberry Drip

Summer is the time for cream blush. While mask-wearing makes it harder for cream products to stay put, this immediately melts into skin and dries down into a silky powder. I also love the gorgeous coral pink color. Fentybeauty.com, $20

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

This is the only setting spray that’s ever made my makeup last through summer heat. A few spritzes of this nowadays helps my makeup stay on my face and off my face mask. Urban decay.com, $33

Auric Blends Egyptian Goddess Roll-on Perfume Oil

I heard about this a few years ago on the “Fat Mascara” podcast as the perfect musk. I get this on Amazon for under $10, and it’s a sweet and earthy blend of soft florals and musk for an alluring, inviting scent. Amazon.com, $8.49

Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind Avocado + Kiwi Mega Moisture Superfood Mask

As a bottle blonde with fine hair, my locks take a beating from the summer sun, chlorine-filled pools and more. This mask quenched my dry, damaged “pool hair” and left it feeling soft and smooth without weighing it down. (The huge jar will last you a while, too.) Briogeohair.com, $36

Christophe Robin Regenerating Serum with Prickly Pear Oil

As a bottle blonde with fine hair, my locks take a beating from the summertime sun, chlorine-filled pools and more. This serum helps dry, damaged hair, prevents frizz and split ends and acts as a heat protectant. It made my hair feel soft and silky, even after a weekend swimming  christopherobin.com, $51 (Available Sept. 1)
