British rock band Squeeze will perform at F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, Wilkes-Barre, the venue announced today.
The show will take place Monday, Aug. 19, at 7:30 p.m. and include special guest Marshall Crenshaw. Tickets cost $43, $57.50 and $72.50, plus fees, and go on sale Friday, June 21, at 10 a.m. at the box office, over the phone at 570-826-1100 and online at kirbycenter.org. An advance sale for Kirby members stars Wednesday, June 19, at 10 a.m.
Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook formed Squeeze in 1973 and reunited 10 years ago. Joining them are bassist Yolanda Charles and percussionist Steve Smith.
Crenshaw, meanwhile, has released 13 albums, earned Grammy and Golden Globe nominations, and appeared in film and on TV during his long career.
