Pizza Heaven in Luzerne has a new owner.
Jake Schell, 23, Luzerne, who has worked at the restaurant at 352 Bennett St. since he was 15, is the new owner and he said nothing will change.
“The food, faces, friends and family will all remain the same,” he wrote in a Facebook post announcing that he is the new owner. “I very much look forward to the challenges and growth this new chapter in my journey will bring upon me.”
Owners Bud and Liz Bustin are retiring, he said.
“It was their labor of love and will continue to be mine,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Timbers Buffet at Mohegan Sun Pocono in Plains Twp. recently closed temporarily to undergo a remodel. It will reopen as Season’s Buffet in the spring, according to David Parfrey, vice president of marketing at the casino.
“Play and Eat” vouchers earned by guests during the temporary closing can still be redeemed at Rustic Kitchen, Electric City Roasting Company, Bean and Vine Café, Sliced, Johnny Rockets and at the new cheesesteak restaurant Tony Luke’s, which will open soon in the redesigned and updated food court, he said.
