Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream announced on Facebook it will open at 11 a.m. Thursday at 25 N. River St., Plains Twp.
Andrea Congemi Briggs, who is opening Handel’s Ice Cream, said they make ice cream fresh each day and 48 flavors will be on the board each day. The choices will include ice cream, vegan and sugar-free options and sherberts.
The company was founded by Alice Handel in 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio, and it now operates more than 50 shops in 10 states, according to its website.
