Honesdale borough officials voted this week to keep the pool complex closed throughout the summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and state, county and borough declarations of disaster.

The Parks and Recreation Commission will maintain and improve the facility at 1874 Fair Ave. while it’s closed.

Council members also voted to cancel or postpone all requests for the use of public facilities through July 13.

The Roots & Rhythm Music and Arts Festival, Memorial Day parade, Troop 1 chicken barbecue, Dessin Animal Shelter flower sale and Fourth of July fireworks display have also all been canceled or postponed.
