VIA Public Media will air a special rebroadcast of the original documentary “WARMLand Remembered” in memory of longtime WARM “The Mighty 590” radio personality Harry West, who passed away Friday at age 89.
The documentary will air at 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 p.m. Friday on WVIA-TV.
West was born in Reading in 1930 and became a popular radio personality at WARM radio during the 1970s and 1980s.
The documentary is a trip back in time to the years of 1958 to 1972 when AM radio was king. The story is told through the memories of the people who made WARM the Mighty 590 and the number one station in Northeast Pennsylvania for over 12 years.
