The Conyngham Valley Historical Society will sponsor its second summer Concert at the Gazebo on Sunday at 6 p.m.
The concert will feature the Freeland Brass. This quintet of musicians is made up of Frankie Balon and Marty Delahanty on trumpet and flugelhorn, Bob Lagana on French horn, Ken Wenner on trombone and Nelson Berger on the tuba. They will entertain the audience by playing a wide variety of music from spirited marches and show tunes to classical numbers, Dixieland favorites and numbers with a Latin flare.
The gazebo is on the grounds of the Conyngham Municipal Building, 215 Main St. The concert is free and open to the public and restrooms will be available throughout the evening.
Those attending are welcome to bring chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of musical entertainment. A free-will collection will be taken to help the historical society maintain its museum and fulfill its mission in the valley.
