After two days and about 20 hours of track and field action and results, we at ON THE BLOG took a short nap Friday afternoon before breaking down the fast approaching PIAA Track and Field Championships.

We promise that this will be quick, informative, and then we will actually take a short break to recharge before three days in Shippensburg.

First, congratulations to all of the standout athletes who earned medals and also punched a ticket to the state meet. Also, congratulations to the Abington Heights girls team, the Wallenpaupack boys team and the Lakeland boys team for their championships. In the last four season, teams from the Lackawanna Track Conference have won 14 of the 16 team titles.

Which begs the question. … What teams have the most District 2 track and field championships?
