August is over and my favorite things are here: SEPTEMBER (my birth month), Virgo season (grounding, harnessing earth goddess energy, rebirth, etc.) and PUMPKIN COFFEES.
In this transition between summer and fall, my products are feeling the change. Last week’s highlights involve three of my favorite things: bronzey, shimmery skin, soft, shiny hair and acid on my face.
Oribe Run-Through Detangling Primer
I used to think leave-in conditioner was a myth until I went blonde. As soon as I took my nearly black hair to honey blonde, I realized I needed moisture and protection anywhere I could get it. I’ve used tons of leave-ins over the years, and my hairstylist, Marina Diakatos at the Salon at Lavish, typically uses Oribe products when I’m in her chair.
I’ve been hesitant to take the plunge to buy Oribe Run-Through Detangling Primer one myself only because of my Champagne taste on a White Claw budget. There are few things in the beauty world bougier than Oribe. This is a luxury product, but it’s worth every penny. My hair hasn’t felt this soft, healthy and shiny in a long time. Plus, its scent made up of Italian bergamot, white peach and cedarwood makes my mouth water.
Sally Hansen Airbursh Legs
Body makeup is having a moment, but Sally is the OG. I’ve been dying to try KKW Beauty Body Foundation, but it’s constantly out of stock. I decided to grab Sally Hansen Airbursh Legs (that I haven’t used since high school) and try it out. I’m a spray tan girl, but this (I used medium glow) kept my legs and arms even between sessions. It’s water-resistant and didn’t transfer even when I wore a white skirt. The finish looks matte in most lighting, but it’s very shimmery in the sunshine. I don’t really mind that though because I love to be super glowy. For the price and its ease, you can’t beat this iconic product.
REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask
If you’re familiar with this blog, you know this lil bih loves an acid. I sampled a trial size of REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask and was blown away with how smooth and glass-like my skin felt afterward. My skin loves lactic acid, and this mask’s mix of lactic and glycolic is exactly what my routine needed. I just bought myself the full-sized version and use it a few times a week to keep my skin exfoliated and clear. This also smells like an orange gummy bear and I am here for it.
