‘Elegance and Emotion’
Join the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic for its second chamber concert of the 2021-22 season, “Elegance and Emotion.”
The concert takes place Thursday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m., at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 232 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, and features performers Andrea Menousek, Emily Frederick and Soyeon Kim. The trio will play works from Romantic composers, such as “Horn Trio” by Johannes Brahms. A reception to meet the musicians follows the show.

Billy Strings
Enjoy a night of Bluegrass music with Billy Strings on Friday, Nov. 19, at 8:30 p.m., at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, 255 Highland Park Blvd., Wilkes-Barre Twp.
Strings’ album, “Home,” won the Grammy for best bluegrass album, and he also was named New Artist of the Year at the 2019 International Bluegrass Music Awards.

‘XIXX: 25 Years and Counting’
Electric City Music Conference and 1120 Studios present a show dedicated to individuals affected by cancer on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. at Stage West, 301 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
“XIXX: 25 Years and Counting” will include performances by Joe Lombardo, Moral Code, Amrican Buffalo Ghost, Sleeplore, the Maguas, Esta Coda, Lucas Hex and Screaming Infidelities Emo Night.

‘Steel Magnolias: Drag Edition’
Experience the classic story of “Steel Magnolias” in a new way.
“Steel Magnolias: Drag Edition” will take place Friday, Nov. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. at Act Out Theater Group, 150 E. Grove St., Dunmore. The featured drag performers will be Nevaeh Deda, Megan Lynn Thomas, Lydia Burns, Ashley Lynn, Justice Twist-Valentine and Ariana Autumn.
