99th Dalton Fire Company Carnival
The 99th Dalton Fire Company Carnival continues through Saturday, July 16, at the festival grounds on Bank Street in the borough.
The gates open at 6 p.m., and the event features live music each night, a firemen’s parade on Friday at 7 p.m., bingo, rides and more. Manning’s Ice Cream, Dalton Lion Club Potato Pancakes and Chinchilla Hose Company Pizza will serve food.

‘Sweet Charity’
The Scranton Shakespeare Festival presents the musical “Sweet Charity” from Thursday, July 14, through Sunday, July 17, at Marketplace at Steamtown, 300 Lackawanna Ave., Scranton.
Performances start at 7:30 p.m. from Thursday through Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be two additional performances on Fridays, July 22 and 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the Marketplace.

Corn & Clam Slam Weekend
William Walker Hose Company, 803 Penn Ave., Mayfield, hosts its annual Corn & Clam Slam Weekend from Friday, July 15, through Sunday, July 17.
The picnic takes place Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight with a parade Saturday at 7 p.m. A chicken barbecue then takes place Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the meal includes half of a chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, roll and dessert for $12.
Buzz Buzzyrd and New Moon Rising will provide entertainment.

Summer Fest
Head to Lakeland Orchard & Cidery, 1649 Lakeland Drive, Scott Twp., for Summer Fest, underway now and through Sunday, July 24.
The event features more than 15 attractions, such as yard games, a carousel and a goat corral plus wagon rides through the orchard. On Saturdays and Sundays, guests can check out lumberjack shows, enjoy access to local breweries and wineries, and hear live music. They also can dig into special blueberry foods and drinks, including, doughnuts, ice cream and slushies.
General admission tickets cost $15.95 online and $18.95 at the gate on weekdays and $18.95 online and $22.95 at the gate on weekends.
