Sixth annual Winter Blues Guitarmageddon

The sixth annual Winter Blues Guitarmageddon takes place Sunday, March 27, at 6 p.m. in the grand ballroom of Scranton Cultural Center at The Masonic Temple, 420 N. Washington Ave.

Originally set for Feb. 25 and postponed because of weather concerns, the show will feature Joe Louis Walker with King Solomon Hicks, Dustin Douglas & the Electric Gentlemen and the Deb Callahan Duo.

‘Anything Goes’ screening

A recording of “Anything Goes” featuring Sutton Foster reprising her Tony Award-winning role as Reno Sweeney will be shown Sunday, March 27, at 3 p.m. and Wednesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. at the Dietrich Theater, 60 E. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.

Part of the Dietrich’s Stage on Screen series, the musical was filmed live last summer at the Barbican Theatre in London. Broadway star Foster appears alongside Olivier Award-winner Robert Lindsay as well as Felicity Kendal, Gary Wilmot and “Ted Lasso” actor Samuel Edwards.

Tickets cost $14 for general admission, $12 for senior citizens and Dietrich members, and $10 for students and children. Tickets are available at the theater and can be reserved by calling 570-836-1022.

Terry Lee Goffee — ‘The Ultimate Tribute to Johnny Cash’

Terry Lee Goffee brings his Johnny Cash tribute show to Scranton on Saturday, March 26, at the Theater at North, 1539 N. Main Ave. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7, with a meet-and-greet with Goffee to follow the performance.

Goffee, who learned to play guitar as a teenager, has loved Cash’s music since he was child. He’s honored the Man in Black on stage for the past 17 years as the “Ultimate Tribute to Johnny Cash,” performing songs such as “I Walk the Line,” “Ring of Fire,” “Folsom Prison Blues” and “Hurt.”

Go the Extra Mile 1-Mile Fun Run

In honor of Women’s History Month, Orangetheory Fitness, Wilkes-Barre, will host a 1-mile fun run on Saturday, March 26, at Kirby Park, 160 Market St., Wilkes-Barre. Check-in begins at 1:30 p.m., and the race begins at 2. Hannah Fox, Miss Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s Outstanding Teen will sing the national anthem.

The event will be benefit Dress for Success, which aims to empower women to achieve economic independence. Orangetheory Fitness also will partner with Miss Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the Miss America organization. The event also includes a photo booth, raffle baskets donated by local businesses and guest appearances.

Yoga with Diane Reuss

Waverly Community House, 115 North Abington Road, Waverly Twp., will host a yoga class led by

local instructor Diane Reuss on Tuesday, March 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The yoga class takes place every Tuesday and is held in the Comm’s Scout Room. It costs $10 per class, and registration is not required. However, those attending should bring their own mat.
