The City of Wilkes-Barre Health Department will host a free drive-thru flu vaccine clinic for Wilkes-Barre City residents next week.

The clinic will be at the Kirby Health Center, 71 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 2 and from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 3.

Identification, such as a state issued driver’s license, is required for city residents to obtain the vaccine.

Quadrivalent influenza vaccine, designed to protect against four different flu viruses, will be available for anyone 6 months of age and older. The high-dose flu vaccine is available for those who are 65+ years old. For more information, call the city health department at 570-208-4284 or 570-208-4283.
