Pike County residents have another place to shop for groceries.

Weis Markets opened a new store on Route 739 in Dingmans Ferry on Nov. 12, and held a community day Thursday to inform shoppers about all its amenities.

More than 140 new associates will be employed at the 46,000 square-foot facility.

The store in Dingmans Plaza features an expansive produce department, beer cave, wine café, full-service seafood department, custom-cut certified Angus beef, sushi, a deli with a heat-and-serve meal section, an organic and natural foods store, a full-service pharmacy and a fuel station. The store will also offer online ordering with curbside pickup through Weis 2 Go.
