Mahanoy City will have a show at dusk Thursday, July 4, thanks to a veterans post from Dallas. Mahanoy Area United Veterans member Louis Huber, a Vietnam War veteran and Green Beret, said the Vietnam Veterans POW/MIA Post No. 1 of Dallas will hold an Independence Day gathering at Club 54, 100 W. Centre St., beginning at noon and will continue until after 8 p.m., when the fireworks display begins. The gathering will include music by DJs.

The Port Carbon fireworks show will start Thursday, July 4, at 9:45 p.m. on Monument Hill. Rain date is Friday, July 5, at 9:30 p.m. A parade starts at 10 a.m. at Alpha Mills on Coal Street and ends at the John Miller Playground, Main and Mill streets. A 5K run starts at 8 a.m.

The Saint Clair Car Show and Cruise, which runs from Saturday, July 6, from 2 to 9 p.m. will wrap up with fireworks presented by the Saint Clair Community and Historical Society at 9 p.m.

In Schuylkill Haven, fireworks will take place at The Island on Saturday, July 6, at 9:30 p.m. as part of Safety Night Out, which starts at 5 p.m. and promotes public safety. Rain date for the fireworks is Sunday, July 7, at 9:30 p.m.

Pottsville fireworks will be launched Saturday, July 13, at 9:30 p.m. from Nativity BVM High School. A rain date has not be determined but will occur if needed. The fireworks show is scheduled for the same day as Yuengling’s 190th anniversary concert and celebration in the city.
