Lakes at three Lackawanna County parks will open for the summer Saturday, June 22, the county announced today.
The county will open Aylesworth Lake, Archbald; Merli-Sarnoski Lake, Carbondale; and Covington Lake, Covington Twp., that day, while McDade Park, Scranton, is tentatively set to open Saturday, June 29. McDade’s pool is still undergoing repairs.
Use of the lakes is free, and lifeguards will be present. Swimming areas will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through mid August.
