The F.M. Kirby Center for Performing Arts, 71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre, has announced the latest edition of “Classic Movies at the Kirby,” with showings one Friday a month at 1 and 7:30 p.m.
The series features a wide variety of Hollywood’s most memorable films on the big screen. Highlights include “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” Walt Disney’s “Mary Poppins” and “Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone,” the first film in the Harry Potter series.
In addition, there will be a special showing of the original 1947 version of “Miracle on 34th Street” on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30
Tickets for the matinee showings cost $3, while evening showings cost $5.

- “Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001, PG), 152 minutes, Nov. 22
- “Miracle on 34th Street” (1947, not rated), 101 minutes, Nov. 30
- “It’s a Wonderful Life” (1946, PG), 130 minutes, Dec. 20
