Artists can earn some money through a new public learning experience Lackawanna County plans to offer.
In an announcement Friday, the Lackawanna County Arts and Culture Department described the upcoming “Lackawanna County Arts and Culture Live!” as “a new digital program to present arts during the COVID-19 crisis.”
The department will access applications from artists of all kinds as well as “experts in history or heritage topics” to present the short online programs. Those interested in presenting a topic must live in Lackawanna County. The selected presenters will receive a $75 stipend.
The county has posted the applications on its website and will accept them on a rolling basis through May and possibly beyond. For details, contact Maureen McGuigan, the county’s deputy director of arts and culture, at mcguiganm@lackawannacounty.org or 570-815-1280.
