Children will have a new opportunity to learn about the performing arts in the Abingtons.
Waverly Community House, 1115 North Abington Road, will offer a new performing arts program for children in grades two through five on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. starting Jan. 22. The program will end with the children performing Disney’s “Jungle Book” on Saturday, April 18. Students do not need any prior experience to participate.
Waverly resident and Scranton School District elementary music teacher Matthew Grotzinger will direct the show.
Participation costs $135 for current CommKids Program members and $150 for nonmembers. Students must register by Monday, Jan. 13, and can get a form at waverlycomm.org or the Comm office. For more information, email vivian@waverlycomm.org.
