The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic has revealed its lineup for the 2019-20 season. As in past seasons, the orchestra will perform a mix of Masterworks and Pops concerts in addition to a chamber series.

Masterworks
- “Inspired by the Human Spirit”: Saturday, Oct. 12, 8 p.m., Wyoming Seminary, Kirby Center for the Creative Arts, Kingston; features guest artist Spencer Myer on piano; program includes Liszt’s “Hungarian Rhapsody No.2”; Schumann’s “Piano Concerto”; Mozart’s Symphony No. 35, “Haffner”; and Kodaly’s “Dances of Galánta.”
- “Celebrating Tchaikovsky”: Saturday, May 2, 8 p.m., Peoples Security Bank Theater at Lackawanna College, Scranton; featuring soloist Alberto Parrini on cello; program includes Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet Overture,” “Variations on a Rococo Theme” and Fifth Symphony.

- “Respect: A Tribute to Aretha Franklin”: Friday, Feb. 14, 8 p.m., F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, Wilkes-Barre; featuring Broadway vocalists.

Both shows feature Ballet Theater of Scranton, the Choral Society of Northeastern Pennsylvania and a visit from Santa.

- Chamber III: Music from Monticello: Thursday, March 12, 7 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, School Street, Clarks Summit; features the Rosewood Chamber Ensemble, with flutist Barbara Hopkins and guitarist Judy Handler.
- Chamber IV: Contrasts: Thursday, April 16, 7 p.m., St. Stephen’s Pro-Cathedral, Wilkes-Barre; includes Béla Bartók’s “Contrasts” and works by Brahms and Kodály featuring violinist Robyn Quinnett, clarinetist Pascal Archer and pianist Spencer Myer.
