About the Indians
- How they got here: District 3 fourth-place defeated Scranton Prep 64-54 in the first round
- Team statistics: Offense (64.3 points per game), Defense (60.4)
- Players to watch: Makhi Jones (sr.), Kevin Coleman (jr.), Michael Marable (jr.)
- Outlook: Indians are athletic and love to press. Jones is a small, flashy guard while Coleman is an intense, 6-7 center. Susquehanna swarmed Scranton Prep in the opening round, and Coleman’s play in the paint led to 11 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals and a blocked shot. Marable led with 18 points that game. It will be interesting to see how Tamaqua matches up with the Indians, if the Raiders can give Knoblauch enough open looks outside and if Lucas Gregoire can handle Coleman inside.
- Up next: Winner faces the winner of 11-1 Allentown Central Catholic (24-4) and 1-1 Pope John Paul II (19-5) in Friday’s quarterfinals.
