Party on the Patio

Tramps Like Us, a tribute Bruce Springsteen act, performs during this week’s Party on the Patio, happening Thursday, July 7.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the music starts at 7:30 at Mohegan Sun Pocono, 1280 Highway 315, Plains Twp.

Party on the Patio runs on Thursday nights throughout the summer, featuring different bands and food trucks. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.

‘Love’s Labour Lost’

The Scranton Shakespeare Festival presents “Love’s Labour Lost” from Thursday, July 7, through Sunday, July 10, at the Marketplace at Steamtown, 300 Lackawanna Ave., Scranton.

Performances start at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

This adaptation of the show brings the action to the 1990s.

Additional performances will take place on Sundays, July 24 and 31, at 3 p.m. at the Marketplace.

Never Forget Weekend

Honor the lives lost on 9/11 during Never Forget Weekend at Miller Keystone Blood Center Pittston, 400 Route 315, Suite E, Pittston.

Set for Saturday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10, the event features the Tunnel to Towers 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit. Prticipants can meet New York firefighters who served on 9/11 and donate blood. The nonprofit hopes to collect 343 units of blood during the event in memory of the 343 New York firefighters killed during the terrorist attack.

‘Somebody Else’s Dream: Dakota, The Buoys, and Timothy’

Join Maxim W. Furek for a book signing and presentation of “Somebody Else’s Dream: Dakota, The Buoys, and Timothy” on Saturday, July 9, at 2 p.m. at Albright Memorial Library, 500 Vine St., Scranton.

Furek’s book marks the 50th anniversary of the controversial song “Timothy,” which was banned by numerous radio stations because of its lyrics and similarities to a Pennsylvania coal mine disaster.

The program is free to the public.

Dogs and Lagers

The inaugural Dogs and Lagers event kicks off Saturday, July 9, at 4 p.m. at the Volunteer Hose Company of Throop, 401 Dunmore St.

The 21-and-older event includes live entertainment by East Coast Trio from 7 to 10 p.m. Guests also can enjoy deep-fried hot dogs and adult beverages.

All proceeds benefit the fire company’s general operating fund.
