10th Anniversary Celebration

Susquehanna Brewing Co. celebrates a milestone Saturday, May 28, at 635 S. Main St., Pittston. The 10th Anniversary Celebration starts at noon with entertainment by Paul LaQuintano. ADHD, Curtain St. and Heart of Stone also will perform throughout the day. A brewery tour will begin at 2 p.m., and Bavarian beer games will run from noon to 7 p.m. courtesy of the Scranton Brewers Guild. Growlers will provide. 30th annual Carnival

Jessup Hose Company 2 will host its 30th annual carnival Wednesday, May 25, through Monday, May 30, at 333 Hill St., Jessup. Activities include rides by Swikas Amusements and performances by Light Weight on Thursday, Nowhere Slow on Friday, the Fuchery on Saturday and AC/DC tribute act Halfway to Hell on Sunday. A firefighters’ parade will take place Friday at 6:15 p.m. Saturday will feature the St. Ubaldo Day festivities, and a fireworks display will wrap things up Sunday at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free. Theresa Borgia 5K Run/Walk and Children’s Fun Run

Slip on your running shoes Sunday, May 29, for the Theresa Borgia 5K Run/Walk and Children’s Fun Run. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. The Children’s Fun Run starts at 9, and the 5K run/walk follows at 9:30, with the events departing from the Olive Street trailhead on the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail in Scranton. The event is held in memory of Borgia, who died of breast cancer in 2010. She had belonged to the Scranton Jewish Community Center and was an advocate for breast cancer awareness and volunteer for the annual Komen Race for the Cure. The children’s run is free, and registration for the 5K run/walk costs $30. Proceeds benefit the Chronic Disease and Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA at the JCC. Wednesday Movie Matinee: Marry Me

This week’s Wednesday Movie Matinee is “Marry Me,” starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson. The 2 p.m. screening takes place in the Henkelman Room of Albright Memorial Library, 500 Vine St., Scranton. In the film, pop superstar Kat Valdez is jilted by her rock-star fiancé moments before their wedding during a concert at Madison Square Garden. She marries a random guy from the crowd instead. Comedy A La Mode

Comedy A La Mode features stand up comedians on Saturday, May 28 at 8 p.m. at Boozy B’s, 41 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.

Comedians featured are Nate Marks, Kendra Dawsey and headliner Madelein Smith. Smith has been featured on Amazon Prime, SiriusXM and Comedy Central. Angelia Petrillo will host the event.
