‘Freedom: An Unruly History’
Dr. Matt Meyer leads an in-person book discussion on Thursday, Feb. 3, from 5 to 6:15 at Albright Memorial Library, 500 Vine St., Scranton.
The discussion focuses on the book “Freedom: An Unruly History” by Annelien de Dijn and explores topics such as immigration, women’s rights and health care.
Attendees must wear masks.

10th annual Carve 4 Cancer Winter Sports and Music Festival
Grab some fresh air for a good cause at the 10th annual Carve 4 Cancer Winter Sports and Music Festival.
Set for Saturday, Feb. 5, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Montage Mountain Resorts, 1000 Montage Mountain Road, Scranton, the festival will feature live music, skiing and snowboarding events, giveaways, raffles and more.
Part of the proceeds from lift ticket sales will benefit blood cancer research and blood cancer patients.

‘Tosca’
Catch the opera “Tosca” on screen on Sundays, Feb. 6 and 13, at 2 p.m. at the Dietrich Theater, 60 E. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
The opera tells the story of Cavaradossi and his lover, Tosca. It combines the romance, tragedy and thriller genres and is set in the 1800s in Rome.
Tickets cost $14 for general admission, $12 for seniors and members, and $10 for students and children.

Clint Black featuring Lisa Hartman Black
Country music superstar Clint Black will perform with his wife, actress and singer Lisa Hartman Black, on Thursday, Feb. 3, at F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, 71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8.
Clint Black has sold more than 20 million records throughout his long career, during which he also earned a Grammy Award and several ACM, CMA and American Music awards. He married Lisa Hartman Black in 1991, and this mark’s the couple’s first joint tour.
