The Pennsylvania Farm Show food is hosting an outdoor Spring Food Fest next month at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg.
The event will take place in the north lot of the complex from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 7-9.
“While our virtual Pennsylvania Farm Show in January was an absolute success, we all missed the opportunity to taste Pennsylvania agriculture,” said Russell Redding, Pa. agriculture secretary. “We’re excited to host a second Farm Show Food Fest this spring to satisfy cravings for the Farm Show foods that give us comfort.”
The Farm Show was held virtually in January due to the coronavirus pandemic. The department also hosted a similar food festival in the fall.
Along with favorites such as Pa. Dairymen’s milkshakes, visitors can order from other vendors including Pa. Livestock Association, Pa. Mushroom Farmers and Pennsylvania Maple Syrup Producers, among others. In addition, there will be a PA Preferred Marketplace where vendors will be selling foods such as beer, wine, jerky, teas and hot sauces.
And more good news – -parking is free. However, all food and beverages will be available for purchase to grab-and-go only. Onsite seating will not be available and face masks are required onsite.
