The Cherry Blossom Festival and the Fine Arts Fiesta scheduled for later this spring have been canceled, Mayor George Brown announced Monday.
The Cherry Blossom Festival was scheduled for April 24-25 in Kirby Park. The city and the Fine Arts Fiesta Board of Directors came to the mutual agreement to cancel the festival which was scheduled for May 14-17 on Public Square, Brown announced in a news release.
“It is with deep regret that we must cancel these annual events, but it must be done now to ensure that we can celebrate as a community later” said Mayor George C. Brown.
