The Pottsville Free Public Library, 215 W. Market St., and Schuylkill Women in Crisis will present the “Art as Healing” art exhibit at the library to encourage women and children to express themselves artistically and to inspire thought, according to a library release. All art was created by women and children working with SWiC in the healing process. It will begin from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, March 9, and will continue from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. March 10 and 12; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 11 and 13 and 8:30 a.m. to noon March 16.
The second annual “Putting Fore Pottsville Library” is set for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28 and 29, featuring 18 holes of mini gold through the first and second floors of the library. Age-appropriate food and beverages will be served both days and are included in the tickets prices. Friday will be adults only from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday will be family day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The adults-only cost is $35 and the Saturday fees are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 16.
