F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, Wilkes-Barre, has closed its administrative and box offices to the public temporarily because of the coronavirus, the venue announced today.
Kirby staff will work from home during this time and will be available by email. The public can email marketing@kirbycenter.org to reach the box office through Thursday, March 19. That day, the box office also will be available by calling 570-826-1100.
The venue noted it is in the process of canceling and rescheduling events and will post updates on its Facebook page. The public also can visit kirbycenter.org to sign up for the Kirby’s email list for future event notifications.
Ticketholders will be able to get refunds for canceled and rescheduled shows or can donate the price of their tickets to the Kirby Center.
“The response to COVID-19 is having a devastating effect on all local businesses and nonprofits like us,” the venue said in the announcement. “We encourage those with the means to help out by donating and purchasing gift cards if they can.”
