CLIFTON TWP. — A hair salon will hold a “Fill the Bus” food drive to benefit a local food pantry.
Salon Joy at the S&H Plaza, 243 Route 435 in Gouldsboro, will collect non-perishable and canned foods, and paper towels, toilet paper, soap, body wash, etc., during weekdays this week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All items collected will be donated to the North Pocono Food Pantry.
“Our community members always make a difference,” the salon said in an announcement. “Your donation will help those in need of food and dry pantry items during the hardship of (the) COVID-19” coronavirus pandemic.
Donors can put items in the bus or on a table, as there won’t be any person-to-person interaction, said Nichole Londo of Salon Joy.
