Avoca Borough 150th Anniversary Planning Committee will sponsor an art contest where participants will compete to design the borough’s official sesquicentennial logo. There will be two divisions in the contest, adults, 18 and older, and children, 7 to 17.
Contest winners will have their hand drawn logo become a part of the borough’s history as it is not only utilized for the sesquicentennial but also for years to come.
Contest applications and details are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Avoca Municipal Building, 752 Main St., or by emailing Avoca2021@gmail.com.
Applications and designs are due by Friday, Nov. 1.
