A small crowd gathered on Oct. 3 to rededicate the Coal Miners Remembered memorial at Blakely Recreation Complex.
The memorial features a five-foot statue of a coal miner along with a wall listing more than 600 locals who worked in the mines. It was first dedicated in 2018.
