The Borough of Throop Quasquicentennial – 125th Anniversary celebration recently took place. The event started with a 5K run and walk that saw around 60 runners and 35 walkers and took off from the Throop Civic Center on Sanderson Street. Quasquincentennial Committee chairman, Andy Hegedus said this is the race’s first year, but he hopes it can be an annual event.

Kristen Kelley, who grew up in Throop, now of Deltona, Florida, returned to her hometown with her Doug and son Riley.
