Today, International Women’s Day, celebrates the important role of women in our lives as well as globally and locally. It’s also a nod to future generations of women who will continue to break down barriers and crash through glass ceilings.

We are all about girl power here and nothing makes me happier than beauty brands who believe in the futures of women and girls.

On March 8, The Better Skin Co. will donate 100 percent of sales from Better Skin Mirakle Cream to the ACLU, which helps to ensure economic opportunities, educational equity and to end gender-based violence.

Mirakle Cream contains hyaluronic acid for hydration and peptides to smooth and prevent fine lines, as well as skin-loving, soothing and moisturizing ingredients such as sea buckthorn, shea butter, cocoa butter, aloe and soothing algae. This will be your new favorite night cream.

The cause is pretty special, too.

“It is important to us that all people are afforded the rights and liberties guaranteed by the constitution,” Natayla Rachkova, co-founder of The Better Skin Co., said. “Our family-founded brand is an example of the American Dream and we want to further ensure that everyone has the same opportunity to fulfill their dreams and live their lives.”

Also, C’est Moi Beauty, a brand dedicated to formulating products with clean and nourishing ingredients specifically for tweens and teens, will donate 20 percent of all of its sales on cestmoi.com during the entire month of March to Step Up Women’s Network. This nonprofit connects professional women with teen girls from disadvantaged backgrounds through mentoring, networking and more.

The brand features everything from cleansers and face masks to body care and color cosmetics such as eyeshadow palettes, pressed powder foundation and Visionary Makeup Crayon, an easy-glide pigment that comes in 14 shades for the ultimate creative expression.

Sleepover Facial Mask Set features a little bit of everything with Purifying Charcoal Clay Facial Mask, Refreshing Papaya & Strawberry Seed Scrub Facial Mask and Soothing Cucumber & Aloe Gel Facial Mask. The masks are all vegan, fragrance-, paraben-, phalate- and sulfate-free and are hypoallergenic for young and sometimes sensitive skin.

The products are created with the well-being of young women in mind, just like the International Women’s Day initiative.

Jennifer Saul, vice president of marketing at C’est Moi, said she loves to watch the pros work with the Step Up girls and give them the tools to become college-bound, career-focused and “ready to join the next generation of professional women.”

“We really love how inclusive the Step Up programs are designed, as they bring a wide variety of female executives from all over the US in their respective cities together to create a profound and everlasting impact on the lives of these young women,” she said.
