For the second year in a row I did the Full Coverage podcast’s Beauty Advent Challenge that featured a different makeup look every day from Dec. 1-25.

Here’s all my looks below plus the day’s theme and my idea and products behind each look. It’s so nice to get out of a makeup rut and I hope this inspires you to try something different.

???? day 2 • glossy skin ????you can’t talk about glossy skin without talking about skin care and while I won’t detail my whole routine, I am loving @touchinsolus pretty filter glassy skin balm to set the perfect moisturized and glowy base????As far as makeup, my best dewy look comes from using light coverage and cream products that really work with my skin????I applied @glossier perfecting skin tint (I am shade G8) all over with my hands because their warmth helps the product blend into my skin????then I used @firstaidbeauty avocado bendy concealer under my eyes, nose and over any blemishes before i softened and blended it with a @beautyblender????creamy blush stick @milkmakeup lip + cheek in werk melted into my skin????I topped it off with the love of my life, @tatcha luminous dewy skin mist, and @laneige_us lip glowy balm in berry for juicy lips with the perfect barely-there-pink tint????still needed some lashes tough (@ardellbeauty demi wispies, always) to open up my eyes????when the weather is dry and cold, using ultra hydrating products like these help to keep my skin bouncy, fresh and glossy????tap for more details????#heybeautiful #fullcoveragechallenge @fullcoveragepod

???? day 3 • matte lips ???? matte lips are so gorgeous but they can be tough to keep up with — esp if you eat and drink all day like I do lmao ???? wifey by @qveenstudio is the PERFECT mauve liquid lip all year round and it stays put until I’m ready to take it off ???? i also used @qveenstudio lashes in sugar daddy ???? I balanced it out with @hauslabs glam attack liquid shimmer powder in rose b*tch with @kkwbeauty ultra light beams loose pigment in rose gold over it ???? I kept my brows pretty natch, only using @glossier boy brow in brown to keep em tamed ???? a sweet little hair clip from @the_blushing_bridal_boutique tops it all off ???? tap for details ???? #heybeautiful #fullcoveragechallenge

???? day 4 • no-makeup makeup ????two years ago, I would never be caught dead wearing “no-makeup makeup” but a bomb skin care routine and some @glossier will change your life ???? I focused on prepping my skin with @glossier future dew (which I’m OBSESSED with) and then applied @sc matte perfection tinted moisturizer over it for super sheer coverage that still shows my freckles ???? I patted @glossier stretch concealer (I am shade G7) under my eyes and nose with my ring finger — I feel like this really helps the creamy concealer melt into my skin ???? I applied dots of @glossier cloud paint in beam and puff on my cheeks and diffused it with a dense blush brush for a stained look ???? @glossier boy brow in brown groomed my brows and a little @glossier original lip gloss gave my lips a perfect pink sheen ???? I threw on some @ardellbeauty lashes, too, because I love a good lash ???? overall, you can’t talk no-makeup makeup without @glossier — it’s single-handedly the best brand around for a sheer, glowy, fresh look ???? #heybeautiful #fullcoveragechallenge @fullcoveragepod

???? day 6 • bad boy brows ???? ooooooh, shittttt. I am OUT of my comfort zone with this but I think I love the way it turned out ???? I had a whole full-face plan and then got super lazy and thought to just keep my face light with my natural lashes (crazy for me who loves a big lash) and actually just focus on brows ???? I used @glossier stretch concealer all over using a dense brush and softening it with a @beautyblender ???? then, I used @glossier cloud paint in storm and @ctilburymakeup lip cheat liner and matte revolution lipstick in walk of shame on my lips ???? on my brows, I used @colourpopcosmetics precision brow pencil in bangin’ brunette to fill them in ???? I then took @glossier boy brow in brown and combed them against the grain and up to create texture ???? ???? day 8 • sparkle & shine ???? on a @hauslabs kick and I have to be honest — even if I didn’t love @ladygaga like I do, I’d still love these products ???? I blended @hauslabs glam attack liquid shimmer powders: biker on the inside and chained ballerina on the outside ???? I used @colourpopcosmetics smoke show palette to add some messy texture a la @euphoria: star struck in inner and outer corners; nightdream in crease, wing ???? I used @glossierplay colorslide eye pencil in sparkle shark to smoke out under my eyes ???? then, I lined my top lids with @hauslabs eye lie ner in punk and kept my brows pretty natural with @glossier boy brow ???? used @hauslabs RIP lip liner in arc with le riot lip gloss in ethereal over it ???? tap for details ???? @fullcoveragepod #fullcoveragechallenge #heybeautiful

???? day 9 • show us your skincare ???? the biggest takeaway from my skin care routine is that I LOVE to be hydrated — which means I spend most of my time oiled, greased and slimy so that my skin is soft, smooth and cute when I face the world ???? here’s a little oiled up picture of my before-bed, freshly oiled face (plus @glossier lash slick bc I’m a muppet without lashes lmao) ???? swipe for my current favorite skin care products for AM & PM (@tatcha luminous dewy skin mist and @coola classic SPF 30 missing) ???? skin care works, y’all, and you can use the best makeup in the world but if your canvas isn’t in good shape, it won’t matter ???? plus, if you treat the underlying issue, you won’t need as much covering and concealing — you’ll just get to have fun with makeup ???? #heybeautiful #fullcoveragechallenge @fullcoveragepod

????day 10 • blush baby ???? I think blush is the most underrated beauty product of the decade ???? eyeshadow palettes, liquid lipsticks and eyebrow pomade is fun but blush makes the biggest difference in your look ???? Adding it to the apples of your cheeks, carving out your cheekbones or dusting across your nose and eyelids wakes up your face ???? I really love to layer cream blush under powder for texture and use different shades for dimension ???? I dotted on @glossier cloud paint in both puff and beam and patted it in with a round, flat-head foundation brush ???? then, I buffed in @sigmabeauty aura face powder in nymphaea from just under my pupil to my hair line ???? i took an angled brush to swipe on @lauragellerbeauty baked blush-n-brighten in tropic hues along my cheekbone ???? I used a fluffy powder brush to dust the Laura Geller blush across my nose for a natural, sunkissed vibe ???? finally, I dusted some on the center of my eyelids with a fluffy eyeshadow brush — this always immediately gives me the brightest and warmest glow ????to match, I lined my lips with @ctilburymakeup lip cheat liner on pillow talk and filled them in with @glossierplay vinylic lip in blow-up ???? ???? day 11 • luscious lips ???? when the category is luscious lips, it’s ok to duck face just a lil bit ???? I’ve got giant eyes but a tiny mouth and my lips feels anything but luscious most of the time ???? light colors reflect the light and make my lips look bigger ???? I used a combo of a super light color like @katvondbeauty studded kiss crème lipstick in divine with @kkwbeauty ultralight beams gloss in rose gold over it ???? ???? day 13 • cat eye ???? I live for a super sharp cat eye ???? I have a bunch of favorite liquid eyeliners but they all have certain things in common: smooth ink, a felt tip and quick-drying formula ???? for this lewk, I used @fentybeauty fly liner in cuz I’m black but I also love @katvondbeauty ink liner and ink well liner, @hauslabs eye lie ner and @stilacosmetics stay all day waterproof liquid liner ???? pulled out my @urbandecaycosmetics naked heat palette for this smoky copper eye ???? ????days 14 & 15 • try something new and your favourite trend ???? you’re getting a 2in1 because this lil bitch is SLEEPY ???? I finally got to use @hauslabs glam attack metallic crème in glamour puss in the silkiest ruby red shade on my eyes???? I really love these liquid-to-powder shadows because they’re so easy to apply and never crease or disappear (even after sweating and singing for 5 hours last night) ???? I lined my lips with @ctilburymakeup lip cheat in red carpet red and then used @hauslabs sparkle lipstick in burlesque ???? highlight is @glossierplay niteshine highlighter concentrate in pale pearl layered over @beccacosmetics shimmering skin perfector in opal???? as for my favorite trend, I’m addicted to hair accessories???? ???? day 16 • your favourite lip colour ???? no matter the occasion, I always reach for @ctilburymakeup matte revolution lipstick in pillow talk for the perfect lip color ???? a few things can take it over the top: for this look, I lined my lips with @ctilburymakeup lip cheat liner in pillow talk before applying the lipstick. then, I topped it with @fentybeauty gloss bomb in fu$$y ???? I love to layer these colors because it makes for the most perfect glowy nude lip ???? to make my skin glisten and glow, I used @patricktabeauty major glow highlighting mist in we need her (a golden pearl) on my cheekbones ???? ???? day 20 • your signature look ???? winged liner, shimmery neutrals, lashes and glossy lips have been my look staples lately ???? for every day, I prime with @milkmakeup hydro grip primer and use @ctilburymakeup magic foundation ???? I conceal with @fentybeauty pro filt’r concealer and @tartecosmetics shape tape under my eyes ???? I set it all with @ctilburymakeup airbrush flawless finish setting powder ???? @anastasiabeverlyhills soft glam palette is the most important palette of the decade, in my opinion ???? it’s versatile, filled with different textures and can be used for everything from work to a wedding ???? i used the shade glistening across my whole lid and sultry in the crease ???? liner is @hauslabs eye lie ner in punk ???? lashes are @ardellbeauty wispies because their staggered ends make them look the most natural out of any false lashes I’ve used ???? I use @qveenstudio dragon lash mascara and its comb-like applicator to kind of “glue” my real lashes into the falsies and then on my bottom lashes for a doll-like lewk ???? blush and highlighter is @ctilburymakeup chic to cheek blush in pillow talk and bronzer/contour is @benefitcosmetics hoola matte bronzer???? lips are lined in @ctilburymakeup lip cheat liner in pillow talk with @glossier OG lip gloss over it ???? @fullcoveragepod #fullcoveragechallenge #heybeautiful

????day 25 • Christmas glam????better late than never ???? I’ve been eating my body weight in peanut butter cups and cookies but we made it ???????? I used @fentybeauty pro filt’r primer and foundation in shade 210 as well as a mix of @fentybeauty pro filt’r concealer in 210 and @tartecosmetics shape tape concealer in light medium as my base ???? I used @kkwbeauty powder contour kit in medium for warmth/contour and @jeffreestarcosmetics loose setting powder in topaz to set everything ????I wanted my eyes to be super sparkly and festive so I used @hauslabs glam attack liquid shimmer powder in angel baby all over my lids with rose b*tch on the outer corners and under my bottom lash line ???? I used my finger to activate the intense shimmer and blend the shades together, taking it all the way up past my crease????for a little dimension, I used the shade controversy from @jeffreestarcosmetics x @shanedawson mini controversy palette on crease, outer corners and a little underneath to smoke out my lash line ???? I lined my eyes with @hauslabs eye lie ner in punk ????I used the shade cheap shot from @urbandecaycosmetics backtalk eye and cheek palette for blush ???? lips are @ctilburymakeup lip cheat liner in pillow talk with @fentybeauty gloss bomb in pretty please over it ????highlight is @ciatelondon confetti highlighter from my December @boxycharm boxy luxe ????brows are @colourpopcosmetics precision brow pencil in bangin’ brunette and @glossier boy brow in brown ???? lashes are @ardellbeauty wispies and @qveenstudio dragonlash mascara on lower lashes and the bottom of my top lashes to help my real lashes stick to the falsies ???? I set it all with a cocktail of @tatcha luminous dewy skin mist and @urbandecaycosmetics all nighter setting spray ???? hair clips are @express and earrings are @forever21 ???? I truly look forward to doing this challenge each year and even if I get a little overwhelmed in the midst of it, I still am so satisfied when it’s all over because I know I pushed myself to create every day and to get out of my daily makeup rut ????
