The Lower Delaware Wild and Scenic Management Council is inviting the public to offer comments through a questionnaire and a town hall as part of a recreation capacity study of the lower wild and scenic stretch of the Delaware River.  The COVID pandemic has resulted in a heavy increase in the number of people using the parks, trails and river for exercise and as an escape from the crisis.

Given this significant growth of river recreation, the public will help the Council develop a composite snapshot of river recreation today on this protected section of the Lower Delaware.

The Council would like to hear from business owners and leaders of townships, county, state and federal agency personnel who work along the Lower Delaware Wild and Scenic River from the Delaware Water Gap at the upstream to Washington Crossing, as well as landowners, anglers, and floaters.

The Council will host a Monday, November 30 Town Hall meeting to provide additional input into the river use study starting at 7:00 p.m.  Click Here to register.
