Q: How many years has this been a tradition?
A: We are celebrating 25 years of hosting this Pre-St. Patrick’s Day cocktail party. This was developed by our board of directors as a prelude to St. Patrick’s Day as well as the ever-popular Scranton St. Patrick’s Parade. We wanted to bring the community together while raising awareness of the programs that we offer. We encourage the community to attend this fun-filled event, relax and enjoy cocktails and appetizers, and meet old friends and new friends as well.
Q: What will be on hand at the event?
A: There will be an open bar, appetizers and over 40 themed baskets to raffle.
Q: Who will be performing?
A: Tony Vergnetti will be providing live jazz music.
Q: What is your fundraising goal?
A: Our goal is to raise as much funds as possible to assist us with our mission of improving the quality of life and care of older adults throughout our community.
Q: How will proceeds be used?
A: This year, Serving Seniors Inc. is celebrating 45 years of service to our community and continues to serve over 6,000 individuals annually. Proceeds will benefit programs including guardianship of person/estate services, ombudsman (advocacy), volunteer visitation, volunteer ombudsman, PEER (Pennsylvania Empowered Expert Residents Program) and transportation services.
