Due to weather related issues and some pauses in the schedule, teams in the Lackawanna League piled up matches Friday to get caught up as the regular season is closing in on the final dates.
On Friday, several teams played multiple matches and teams were able to get results and competitions in for the athletes. That has been the main objective in this spring season during the coronavirus pandemic. Remembering that these athletes missed out on 2020, getting all of the matches in, regardless of the challenge, is a great accomplishment by the athletic directors and coaches.
One match we still haven’t seen, however, is the big one. But it is on the schedule this week — weather permitting.
