The 2018-2019 scholastic sports season stormed through the winter months.
The Dunmore Lady Bucks girls basketball team captivated a passionate fan base with an unbeaten run to the PIAA Class 3A final, and even with a second-place finish, they were the talk of the town with inspiring wins over Neumann-Goretti and St. Basil Academy in the state playoffs.
Abington Heights defended its PIAA Class 5A boys basketball title with pride. However, the Comets run ended in the state semifinals with an overtime loss to Archbishop Wood.
There were outstanding individual and team efforts in both swimming and wrestling, too.
