The relentless nor’easter crippled the winter sports schedule — as if we couldn’t see this coming — and really put athletic directors under a crunch in the calendar to get the season completed in a small window.
Much like the girls basketball slate from Monday, the boys schedule got wiped out for Tuesday.
That makes Wednesday a very busy day for basketball and then a quick turnaround with league games again Friday and a fast-approaching three-game week.
With the postponement of Monday and Tuesday games, it sets up a terrific doubleheader Wednesday at Scranton High School in the City Rivalry Game.
Scranton plays West Scranton in a girls game at 5 p.m. and the Knights and Invaders will follow at 7:30 p.m. at Scranton High School. Remember, all West Scranton home games are at Scranton High School this season.
