The North Pocono sophomore fired a 3-under-par 69 Friday to win the 56th annual Irving Jackman Memorial Tournament by one stroke.

Age: 16

Family: Father, Billy Sr.; mother, Jamie; sisters, Ava and Abby; brother, Evan.

Sports teams you follow: Boston Celtics, Penn State football, Syracuse basketball, Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Other sports you play: Basketball

Any superstitions before you play? Not really. The closest I probably get is using the same ball mark and coin over and over again, because I don’t feel like digging for another one.

Three people you would like to have dinner with. Definitely my dad’s parents. I never got to meet them. And my Uncle Bill, he passed away before I got to know him as well.

Other than golf, what skill would you like to master? Basketball. My dribbling is a little weak.

What is one thing everyone should do at least once in their life? Try something new. Explore your options in sports, academics.

How do you move on to the regular season and maintain that high level after winning the Jackman? A lot of practice. It’s hard to bounce back after a big win. You look at Gary Woodland. He won the U.S. Open and he talked about it, you go through a little dip because your emotions are going so high. If you practice and remain on an even keel with your emotions you can maintain a high level of play.

Was there one shot that got you going? My tee shot on No. 2. Off 1, I hit it in the fairway and thought I was good but the ball was above my feet and I made a good pass at it, but I chunked it. So I got to 2 and I said, make that same swing, and I flagged it, and I had 3 feet for birdie. I was like, this is good.

Who’s your funniest teammate? Jake Clancy. He’s real funny and spontaneous. You don’t know when it’s coming. You’re crying you’re laughing so hard sometimes.

One person who’s had the biggest influence on your golf career. My dad. He learned to play at 19-ish at the Muni and taught himself everything he knows. If he looks at my swing, he knows what I’m doing, plus, he’s probably the best putter I’ve ever seen. I didn’t inherit that gene.

Have you started thinking about what lies ahead for you golf-wise? I’m kind of looking at some colleges. None have reached out to me. I’m not a junior so they can’t. There are a couple I have my eye on that I would love to play for.

The numbers you post on the golf course aren’t the only ones you are proud of, correct? I’m better in school than I am at golf. Math is my best subject and my favorite. My dad is a math teacher, so… I put my best foot forward all the time. If there is homework, even if I’m up until 12:30 at night, I’m going to do it. I really try to do my best.
