North Pocono’s Billy Pabst Jr. won the Lackawanna League qualifier for the District 2 Class 3A individual championships with a 6-under 66 on Wednesday at Elmhurst Country Club, winning the tournament by seven strokes. Here’s more from his Athlete of the Week interview:

Are there any athletes you admire? Saquon Barkley and Kevin Kisner.
Do you have any favorite sports teams? I’m a fan of Penn State sports and like the Phillies and the Cowboys.
If you could have three dinner guests, who would they be? That’s a tough one. Definitely Kevin Kisner. Then, Jack Nicklaus and Lee Trevino.
Do you play any other sports? Yes, I play basketball.
Any rituals or superstitions? No.
Favorite food? Steak.
What kind of music do you like listening to? I like classic rock and country music. Luke Combs is my favorite.
Who’s been the biggest influence on your sports career? Definitely my dad.
Any post-high school plans? Yes, I’m going to golf at Penn State next year.
Any competitors you particularly enjoy playing against? Yeah, I have some golfer friends from other schools that I like playing with. Michael Sewack and Tommy and Michael Lynch from Scranton Prep and James Flickinger from Abington Heights.
Any other hobbies? I really like fishing. I wish I had the time to do it more often.
