The early signing period for football prospects in the Class of 2020 is upon us, and Penn State is expected to bring in a larger-than-usual class throughout the day. On the Penn State blog today, I’ll be breaking down each of the signees. Here is my scouting report on Susquehanna Twp. defensive line prospect Fatorma Mulbah.
Height: 6-3
Weight: 270
School: Susquehanna Twp. HS
Projected position: Defensive tackle
Rating: Three stars by Rivals.com, 247sports and ESPN
Other offers: Army, Connecticut
Projection: Mulbah might lack some of the refinement you see in the top-tier defensive tackle prospects around the nation, but he has a lot to build on. His first step can overwhelm interior offensive linemen, and he plays with consistent leverage. He packs an initial punch, making him one of the more physical players in this class at the snap. He can be a pretty good interior pass rusher in the defensive tackle rotation for the Nittany Lions if he can build a few more reliable moves and improves his hand usage. But he’s got the size, he’s strong and he has plenty of potential to be a regular contributor by the 2022 season.
